SatAREL ranks among top 10 in the CanSat Competition
SatAREL comes in 8th place in the first phase of the annual CanSat Competition.
The CanSat Competition is an annual student design-build-launch competition for space-related topics organized by the American Astronautical Society (AAS) and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AAIA) and sponsored by NASA. This annual competition provides a platform for universities all around the world to compete against each other with the space-type systems they design and build. The competition is divided into 2 phases. The first phase consists of grading each team based on their oral test results and satellite designs. At the end of this phase, an admission list and a waiting list are formed with each list consisting of 40 teams. The first 40 teams are admitted to attend the rocket launch event that will take place in Dallas, Texas.
Istanbul Arel University’s satellite team SatAREL has achieved a great success by ranking 8th in the first phase of this year’s competition. For more information, please click here.
